Type 212 submarine
The Type 212 submarine class is an advanced non-nuclear submarine build by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft in Germany. These ships are used by German, Italian and Israel navy.
The submarine is equipped with diesel propulsion systems which were designed and build by SIEMENS. These systems are said to be vibration free, very quiet and almost undetectable that makes the submarine a very efficient modern weapon.
Germany sold 3 submarines to the Isreal navy since 2009 and subsidised these projects with 130 Million Euro. Israel ordered 3 more ships and has more 3 in option. Israel is being criticised for equipping the Type 212 with nuclear weapons.
